Children’s House Montessori School is a two-classroom preschool located in West Roxbury. Under the direction of Paula Granofsky, CHM provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children 2.9 to 5 years old.
We provide a rich education based on the child-centered philosophy and principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. CHM’s trained Montessori guides seek to promote the development of strong social skills, a positive self-image and self-esteem, physical coordination as well as cognitive curiosity. Our school fosters global awareness by exploring cultural diversity and similarity, and we teach children to be stewards of the earth by acting in an environmentally-responsible manner. Most of all, the children of Children’s House Montessori are given the time to enjoy the process of exploration and learning in a positive, nurturing environment.
Although the school is located at Temple Hillel B’nai Torah, Children’s House Montessori is not a religious school nor do we teach religion. We foster a multi-ethnic environment that recognizes diverse cultural perspectives among the children and staff. We welcome family participation in sharing their own customs.

“A wonderful, small school setting for your child. My daughter gained so much and has wonderful memories of her Montessori experiences and school.” – K.M.
